
What is On-site Shared Support?
Liverty Housing’s model includes access to an on-site shared support provider.
- The On-site Shared Support provides 24/7 shared support to the SDA tenants. The On-site Shared Support has their own separate apartment, ensuring that tenants:
- Maintain their own privacy and independence,
- Having safety and confidence knowing that support is only a call away!
Tenants can call for assistance from the on-site support provider as required using communication devices such as:
- iPads
- Wall buttons
- Pendant alarms
- Voice activated call alarms etc.
The 24-hour on-site shared support will be provided by one SIL provider. Tenants will help choose this provider by consensus, providing choice and control over their support.
FAQs
You may utilise the on-site support service for unplanned or irregular needs. For example, an additional person to assist with transfers, turning to prevent pressure areas, access to overnight supports, evacuation assistance, assistance with technology or even simply to retrieve dropped items from the floor.
You will have full choice and control to select your planned, or rostered supports.
We understand the importance of having your own supports to provide you with assistance for your everyday needs and activities, including personal care.
The on-site shared support is available to provide tenants with 24/7 access to supports.
This increases tenant safety and security are enhanced with access to on-site shared support
provider for unplanned and emergency support.
Assistive technology and communications allow tenant to call for this support as and when needed which affords them independence and privacy as they don’t require supports to be present in their home all the time.
The apartments have been fitted with a communication system to allow tenants to call for supports in an emergency, or for ad hoc supports.
